
Monica is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She received her education and training through the University at Buffalo and D’Youville College where she earned her Doctor of Nurse Practitioner degree. Monica has experience in several areas of medicine including women’s and adult health, neurology, gastroenterology, internal and acute care medicine, and holds a board certification for sleep medicine.
Serving as a Course Coordinator of Adult Health, she is a full-time faculty member of the Patricia H. Gorman School of Nursing at D’Youville College. She conducted research on the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on health promotion and vaccine hesitancy in the African American community. Monica is very active in local service and faith-based organizations and she is a long standing and active member of the Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
